Happy Christmas
"<" back one image Happy Christmas
Gift giving has long been a way of showing love and affection, starting with gifts of strangely shaped stones, animal teeth, feathers or shells, and becoming more ornately and richly decorated as our use of tools evolved. Over time, gifts were often given as good luck tokens or as a way of bestowing rank or favour. In 1822 Clement Clarke Moore wrote ‘Twas the Night before Christmas’, helping to popularise the giving of seasonal gifts.
Father Christmas loves to give gifts. Big gifts, little gifts, quiet gifts, noisy gifts,
glittery gifts, snuggly gifts. He just loves to give, and to laugh. Ho ho ho!!
